Task Near is a proposed marketplace for on-demand help with furniture assembly, TV mounting, and appliance install. This portfolio walks through the exploration — four directional wireframes for the matching mechanic, narrowed to a chosen direction, then designed end-to-end at mid-fidelity.
The proposed direction. Describe a job in plain text, get the top 3 nearby verified helpers with explicit reasons, tap-to-book at a fixed price. Full flow including live tracking, chat, complete-and-rate, the dashboard, settings, and the helper side. Open the Tweaks panel to flip copy tone, card style, and map style.
A walkthrough deck of the proposed direction, organized by section: onboarding, the core matching flow, live execution, account, edge cases, and the helper side. Each screen has a rationale panel beside it. Closes with the pilot recommendation.
The exploration that preceded Direction D. Four distinct matching mechanics sketched side-by-side: Instant Match (Uber-style), Apply with Quotes (reverse marketplace), Browse Directory (Airbnb-style), and Hybrid Smart-Match. Each one fleshed out with its own end-to-end flow so the trade-offs are visible.
The wireframe exploration as a slide deck — same content as the canvas, but optimized for reviewing the four directions in sequence. Section dividers between directions, side-by-side notes on each screen, and a closing recommendation.
